Allow vertical scrollbar

Have you noticed that "Allow vertical scrollbar" is ignored if entry into field is not allowed?

Because you can't select the field and the scrollbar appears only when the field is selected.

Off course this can be workarounded with field validation... Allowing entry into field and setting the validation calculation to 0.

Yes you have two options.

One is to create a calculated field equal to the original field, so that you can scroll through it without changing it, but you can't have any special text formatting because the calculation strips it off. The other option (which I use quite often) is to set the auto enter option for the field to the "Data" option and then select the "prohibit modification" option. that lets you display the scroll bar and keep the original formatting, but prevents the user from modifying the field data.
