Newbies dzyner1 Posted May 2, 2001 Newbies Posted May 2, 2001 I am new to filemaker. I'm trying to find all records in field "Finalized"that are blank or not ="f". I've created a report layout but have been unsucessful in excluding jobs with "f" in the Finalized field. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
RJones Posted May 2, 2001 Posted May 2, 2001 Not to sure what you mean. If you are looking to find out how to find blank fields then I have just been thru this myself. If you go into Find Mode, insert into the finalized field an equal sign "=" or use the symbols on the side status bar. Check the "Omit" box above the Symbols on the status bar. Click Find. That should do the trick. Or, is it you are trying to automate that proceedure for your layout? If that is it, I will be making a post myself to find out how.
Newbies dzyner1 Posted May 2, 2001 Author Newbies Posted May 2, 2001 Thanks for your speedy help. It worked great.
