4 color process trouble in OS X

my solution was working fine in os 9, but when i switched it over to os 10.3, it no longer prints to my device as 4 color process, e.g. if the color is defined as 100% magenta, it is printing as 38% cyan, 61% magenta. this is filemaker pro 5.5v2. also an embedded vector eps graphic is now printing in low res. i've tried using the same printer ppd that i was using in os 9, as well as downloading the newest one from the manufacturer. (creo/scitex brisque)-a postscript rip.

any insight or help would be appreciated...i keep thinking i'm missing something obvious, but i'm running out of ideas.
