Do you know how I can prevent unused blank space from showing up in normal mode. By this I mean the window is always bigger than the database and there is plenty of blank space , i'd like the layout to be as big as an A4 page only and do not need all the blank space...hope you'll understand me!!!

If I understand right, you just want a smaller window size. To ensure a smaller size window, just resize the window before you close the database, and it will stay that size. However, any Zoom statement in a script will alter the window size again, so to ensure you keep your window the same size, you should remove those statements. If you are on a FileMaker Server system, the window will go back to its original size each time the database is opened.
