Contact management database help

Hi everyone,

I've been struggling to create a contact management database that functions well.

I am trying to create a multi-user solution with a main screen with 2 halves. On the left would be a vertical list (compatible with mouse scroll button?) of all contacts sorted by last name with a search box above the list where the user could type in the first few letters of the name they're looking for and the list would scroll to the first match.

The right half would be all the contact info for the selected person.

Does anyone have any contact management solutions they'd be willing to share or any other tips on creating something similar to what I described?
