Newbies tragonnet Posted February 4, 2004 Newbies Posted February 4, 2004 I've taken over as office manager and modified a very complex filemaker database, and after changing a few buttons to point to the correct layouts only one of three of my invoices prints out WAY to large! i'd guess 30% bigger! it all fits on the first page (including the footer) but i print out a second blank page (the second page prints out header and footer but no body- all the body is on the first page). SO: what did i modify by placing a button on a layout that would cause only one invoice to print out larger than the others (and spill out onto a page 2)? How can I check the page layout and fix it so its like the others? sorry for being such a noob! Thanx in advance for yr patience! tom
cjaeger Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 see the length of the body section of the layout. Shrink it to the smallest possible size. Use the sliding feature for empty fields... (Try: help!)
stanley Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 Tragonnet: Probably you've increased the size of the body by just enough that it extends into a second page. As Christian suggested, look at it in layout mode & see where the page borders (the dashed lines) are. A little manual tweaking should get the body back into shape & prevent the blank second page from printing. -Stanley
