Newbies cc4digital Posted February 7, 2004 Newbies Posted February 7, 2004 I ask this a couple of day ago, but my post is gone. Strange. Anyway, I have a table and I would like it to show the number with a percentage sign. Instead of .23, I would like to see 23%. How can I do this. I know with a form I can just put the % sign over the box with a clear background. But with a table it seem to be different. Any ideas? Can I set % somewhere in the define field portion? I am sure this is an easy, but I can't currently figure it out. Sorry for by so basic.
EddyB Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Hi there, Firstly make sure the field is set to a number field. Then in layout mode, click onto the field and go to Format->Number Click onto format as decimal, click on use notation and change the dropdown menu to Percent Hope this helps Ed.
Vaughan Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Just to add to that... 10% is 0.1, not 10 -- a trap that many newbies fall into. A number field formatted as percentage will display "10" as 1000%. Platform: / Version: FileMaker Version:
