How can I compare the data in one FM data base file to the data in another FM data base both having the same fields? I have someone in another city that inputs sales lead information. The original data base is updated before the new leads are merged into the original file. There are date and time fields for each record when they are created and changed. I need to compare the data in several fields so that the most current data is kept. How can I do this?

With great difficulty, as the old joke goes.

Do a search in the Forums for "synchronization" or "synchronisation" or other similar words to see the techniques (or frustrations) that other people have found.

You could try using the Status(CurrentRecordModificationCount) function to compare how many times the record has been modified. The Exact () function is good for comparing strings, it even picks up capitalisation differences.
