February 10, 200421 yr Hi all! My question is probably easy, but I can not find any documentation to see if is even possible. Here is the problem, I need to change the Master/Administrator password on a very large relational database of about 30 files. Is there any way to do this across the board at 1 time? Or do I really have to shut everything down and do it file by file? Any shortcuts would be MORE than appreciated!
February 10, 200421 yr One of the Troi plugins will automate this, but I assume there'll be some significant setup involved. Without it, you'll have to do all 30 files one-at-a-time.
February 10, 200421 yr This is not correct information. Use either PassWord Administrator from New Millennium at http://www.newmillennium.com or you can use the DialogMagic plugin from them in conjunction with the built-in FIleMAker Pro ScriptMaker step for changing passwords to do this. Personally I would--and do--use PassWord Administrator. Steven
February 10, 200421 yr Edits didn't take. Either of these approaches will allow changing the password in all files at once. Steven
