SassyTexan Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Hi all! My question is probably easy, but I can not find any documentation to see if is even possible. Here is the problem, I need to change the Master/Administrator password on a very large relational database of about 30 files. Is there any way to do this across the board at 1 time? Or do I really have to shut everything down and do it file by file? Any shortcuts would be MORE than appreciated!
Vaughan Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 One of the Troi plugins will automate this, but I assume there'll be some significant setup involved. Without it, you'll have to do all 30 files one-at-a-time.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 This is not correct information. Use either PassWord Administrator from New Millennium at http://www.newmillennium.com or you can use the DialogMagic plugin from them in conjunction with the built-in FIleMAker Pro ScriptMaker step for changing passwords to do this. Personally I would--and do--use PassWord Administrator. Steven
Steven H. Blackwell Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Edits didn't take. Either of these approaches will allow changing the password in all files at once. Steven
