Hi all!

My question is probably easy, but I can not find any documentation to see if is even possible. Here is the problem, I need to change the Master/Administrator password on a very large relational database of about 30 files. Is there any way to do this across the board at 1 time? Or do I really have to shut everything down and do it file by file? Any shortcuts would be MORE than appreciated!

One of the Troi plugins will automate this, but I assume there'll be some significant setup involved. Without it, you'll have to do all 30 files one-at-a-time.

This is not correct information.

Use either PassWord Administrator from New Millennium at http://www.newmillennium.com or you can use the DialogMagic plugin from them in conjunction with the built-in FIleMAker Pro ScriptMaker step for changing passwords to do this.

Personally I would--and do--use PassWord Administrator.

Either of these approaches will allow changing the password in all files at once.
