Defining unique fields

Featured Replies

Hello.

I'm defining a new file and I would like to have two fiels as identifiers (unique fields) for that file. How is that possible. I don't want them to be unique separetely, but that their association is unique. I need your help. I'm thinking about some calculated verification, bit it really looks like a "trick". Is there some other ways ?

Thanks.

So, if I understand it correctly, you'd like for the relationship between two fields to be unique?

I can think of one way to do this, assume fields A and B are the unique fields, and the result of A+B is what you'd like to keep unique.

Make a third field C (A regular number field in this case) with auto-enter data of a calculation A+B. Then make that field unique in the verification tab.

Hope this helps.
