Is it possible to have my db send location and destination (both uk postcodes) to the location and destination fields within the route 66 route planner software, and maybe even get the resulting mileage?:

oh and the moon on a stick please,with chocolate sprinkles...(humour/calculation not script)

You're on a Mac, so the thing to check is if Route 66 is AppleScriptable. Open the Script Editor, go to File->Open Dictionary... and navigate to the Route 66 application. It will show what commands you can use on it. If the application is scriptable, then you can do it, though I think AppleScript only has Flake bar, rather than sprinkles...
