fmteacher Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 I created a form letter that is linked to my database. The letter looks fine on the screen but when I print it for some reason it creates a duplicate of each record. Instead of printing 45 pages I would have to print 90 to get my work. It says that I have 49 records, but in print preview each record has a caopy immediately after the record. What do I do?
BobWeaver Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 Most likely, your layout is just a bit bigger than what will fit on one page, so each record prints a second page. Go into layout mode and see if the page break line is visible. If so, move the body part up until it all fits on one page. In some cases the page size that Filemaker sees is not the same as what the printer sees. In that case, your layout may indicate that everything will fit on one page when, in fact, it won't. The solution is the same. Shrink the body part until it prints only a single page per record.
fmteacher Posted March 5, 2004 Author Posted March 5, 2004 Thanks Bob. That sure nuff fixed the problem.
