I have just bought FM Developer 6 for use on Win XP Pro so that I can distribute an engineering database to a number of clients as a standalone runtime application. The Developer Tool created all the files as it should but I found that the runtime application did absolutely nothing.

Calls to FM support were fruitless but somehow I eventually found that if I moved the directory containing the solution a couple of levels up the directory tree the application works!

This suggests that there is a maximum path length (on my estimation 115 characters or so) but I can't find this mentioned in the documentation.

Does anybody know whether this is a windows or FM 'feature' and if there is any way of removing the restriction or have I done something remarkably stupid?
