Thanks for any help in advance!

Not with FileMaker alone. You have two options (three if you use a Mac).

First option is entirely FileMaker. You create what I call a "faux" dialog box using layout tools. Create the look of the dialog box as a layout, place fields on the layout and attach appropriate scripts to the buttons. To go to the dialog, you go to the layout, pause the script to wait for userr input and then have one of the buttons be a simple Resume Script. Upside is you don't use anything but FileMaker. Downside is you have to build the dialogs from scratch, or find the dialogs on the web somewhere.

Second option is a plug-in such as Troi Dialog. This has the advantage of being cross platform and pretty easy to setup and use. Upside is it's cross platform and the dialogs will look good for both Windows and Mac. Downside is you need to purchase a license for each machine that the plug-in is needed on.

If you're on a Mac the third option is to use AppleScript. AppleScripts can be run from within a FileMaker script, and the information from a FileMaker field can be included as part of the text of the dialog. I wrote an article on how to do this that appeared in FileMaker Magazine (I forget which issue, but it was about a year ago, www.filemakermagazine.com), but if you don't subscribe, I would be happy to send the article and sample file to you. Email me. Upside, easy to use and built-in to all Macs, dialogs look good and are flexible. Downside, won't work on Windows.
