Featured Replies

Hi

I have a series of Global text fields that I would like to have auto enter data in each one. Is this possible in anyway?

thanks

Stan

Hi Stan,

In a word no, well not without setting the fields via a script. Give us some more info, what are you trying to achieve?

Ed.

Sorry Bob, you beat me to it! smile.gif

I have a series of global fields for an auction, I have all the places, times, and materials. I need those to show up on every record but mostly the auction places are the same places. So I would like to have the data to those places autoentered into each field. It is a slot like a1, j5, k4 etc.

Not sure if we are on the same wavelength or not. A global can only contain a single value no matter how many records it appears in. Once you enter that value the same thing will show up in every record. So you only have to enter it once per global.

yes i only have to enter it once. But each auction is a brand new file. So I have to enter it each week and there are 200 fields.

Then why not enter it once in your master file. And then when you copy your file the data will already be in the globals.
