Sliding text rows in portal?

Featured Replies

  • Newbies

Absolute beginner with FM7 for 2 days now.

I have a portal created and displaying records that contain addresses. Outside the portal I can use sliding text to close up the empty lines in the address fields. How do I do this when the fields are inside the portal?

Yeah, sliding doesn't work so well with portals. It's better to use a list layout in the related file, or in your case, maybe a Full Address calc that concatonates the fields, or merge fields.

Unfortunately, list layout doesn't help me because I'm using records from various tables layed up to print out on a pre-printed A3 menu template.... so the customer doesn't have to buy and learn to use a DTP app like Pagemaker.
