Automated Send Mail

Does anyone know if you can have FM Pro 5.0's "send mail" function send out an email automatically anytime a new record is created in a database? I keep looking in the books and can't seem to find a way to do this on the fly.

Any help here would be appreciated!

The easiest way to do this is to get users use a script to create new records (rather than use the menu) and include the send mail in the script.

Hi,

You could also use the "open URL" code in that script. Just have a field in the dbase with that code and give the script the "open URL" command to that fileld. Make some standard fields with email adres, subject and body text and let your default mail app send the mail. Watch your mailbox for the file I send you (found on www.databasepros.com)
