April 2, 200421 yr I was wondering if anyone has successfully run multiple instances of FMP Pro using Mac Os X (Panther) fast-user switching? I'm imagining a scheme where one user logs in to OS X, launches FMP Pro, then another user switches to their account while leaving the original user logged in, and launches FMP Pro again. Does anyone know if FMP Pro will handle this gracefully? I'm thinking of FMP7 but comments regarding FMP5 and FMP6 are also welcome. The reason I ask is because I know that running FMP3 in Classic and FMP5 in Panther on the same machines breaks things horribly. FileMaker Version: 7 Platform: Mac OS X Panther
April 2, 200421 yr It seems to work fine in the case of single user files, although I'm not sure if it officially follows the FM license agreement. Of course if you want to use this copy of FMP to connect to a shared DB, it won't work because they have the same serial #. I am guessing it would work fine if you had a site license serial #
