Whatsit
Hi Is it possible to make a copy of a runtime solution and rename the solution without creating problems when both copies are open ? for example the solution folder is named 'springsummer' I would like to copy the entire folder and rename it 'autumnwinter' I am concerned because the files contained in both folders would still have the same file name eg customers.usr orders, usr as always looking forward to receiving your response marcia
rogermax
Changing the folder name is not a problem. However, have both runtimes open at the same time with the same file names is likely to give you some trouble, assuming you are running them on the same box. andygaunt
You could rebind the solution with a different key, this may allow both files to be open as they see each other as independant applications. Changing the folder name alone will not do the trick
rogermax
Good point Andy, still would require rebinding to either change file names and update links or binding key. I would think it potentially confusing to have multiple solutions open with the same names. FileMaker Version: Dev 7 Platform: Windows XP
