Featured Replies

i thought i successufully posted this, but I cannot find it. i apologize.

we have an FMKPR server. we switched isps and moved. have cable cisco router. was told my isp to buy second router/switch to hook up office computers. (long story - i really don't think we need it.)

i can get internet access while hooked into switch. (8 port) but i cannot connect to flmkr server. need to access the flmkpr server. what am i doing wrong?

if i go to the server in port 1 of the switch, i can access other computer. but when i go to another computer to access filemaker db, it cannot find the server. please help.

i just read that i need to adjust "filemaker pro SIG" to let others on network connect to db. where can i find this?

I have a few questions.

What version of FileMaker Server are you running? What are the specs of the machine it is running on? Is the FM Server behind your router, between your router and cable modem, or outside your network entirely? What version of FileMaker Pro are you running and what platform(s) are you running it on?

Salman
