Newbies Dave_K Posted April 26, 2004 Newbies Posted April 26, 2004 I am attempting to create layouts in a FileMaker database to print CD and Cassette labels. I have a background graphic created in Photoshop that consists of a photograph and a logo. This design prints very nicely on an Epson R300 printer from PhotoShop or Preview, but prints at a totally unacceptable resolution from FileMaker. I've inserted the picture in my layout in every file format that FileMaker supports, but all of them print equally poorly. Surely FileMaker will allow me to print good quality graphics on a layout, Right? What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help you might provide.
Ender Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 You should be able to print high-res graphics as layout objects. For a bitmap image, like photoshop, copy the 300dpi (or 600dpi) image, paste it in (it will be huge), then scale it down in the layout.
mtorrance Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Can you put a HiRes Graphic in a Global Container? I would like the user to be able to paste a HiRes graphic into a container so they do have to go into layout mode to update it. Thanks, Mark
