FM Server and OS X Server

I have a newbie question. Right now running FM Server 5.5v4 on OS 10.2.8. We want to upgrade to FM Server 5.5v4 on OS 10.3.3 Server.

Has anyone had or heard about any problems with FM Server being on a Panther server machine?

Thanks in advance,

Salazar

Welcome Salazar,

I have FM Server 5.5v4 running on 10.3.3. No problem.

If you reinstall FM Server, make sure you leave the folder on the root directory of the hard drive so you can install the 5.5v4 update.

Thanks a lot Ender. Appreciate the input.

Anyone else have experiences?

Only the general issue that FMS should share a box that's doing other file-sharing like activities like Samba, Apache etc. The services will all be competing for the same resources (disk and network access) and it all becomes very sub-optimal. Stability may also be compromised.
