rivet Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 I am use to using an underscore '_' for all fields that are for programming but with FMP7 (or osX) all underscores are sorted to the top of the list instead of the bottom. This is a drag because when the client is exporting or adding a field to the layout they now see all my junk first. Has anyone found another way around this other then custom sort.
Fenton Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 "z"? No really, I know what you mean. My field orders are now upside down. I'm getting used to it already. I just scroll down to whatever area I want; I actually tend to use my calculation and global fields more often than regular data fields. But, as you say, this will not work for files that the client is going to be looking at the fields.
BruceJ Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Bummer, no way around thast one otehr than renaming fields. Fortunately, I've been using CoreSolutions standards for naming conventions for a while now. I find these naming conventions usefull. COnsider this an *oportunity* to learn the CoreSolutions naming conventions
