Directory Services setup in Server 7

I'm trying to set up Directory Services in FM Server 7, but I'm baffled. The FM Server Admin manual says to check with your Network Administrator, but that's me!

I have not set up LDAP or Open Directory before, and the Open Directory manual that comes with Panther Server is too verbose.

Anyone know of some good resources for setting up an OS 10.3 server as an Open Directory Master with LDAP, and then what settings go in the Directory Services pane in FM Server to get it all to work?
