Is it possible to open/import an MS Access db into FMP?

Many thanks...

Not open, no. Neither can it be converted to FMP in one step.

The only option is to rebuild the Access file in FMP (fields, interface, scripts etc) then export/import the data across.

You have several choices... the two most obvious are:

1. export the access tables as text or excel tables etc, and import them into FMP

2. Set up the access database as an ODBC data source, and then use SQL to query the tables and import data into FMP

VBA scripts and calculations will have to be recreated manually in FM along with forms and other layouts/reports.

Take a look at http://www.fmpromigrator.com I have not used it but found this on the net and spoke to the developer about his products while look at migration tools. His tools can migrate between many different DB including Access and FM.
