I have one field where doctors write their comments. For some patients this has become quite large. FM 3 refuses to print more than 6 pages. How do I get it to print all the data?

Make sure you are using FMP 3.0v6. Earlier versions had printing bugs.

It could simply be that the layout needs to be made bigger. The maximum for each record is 10 pages.

Ooops. Scratch this one.

Turned out I was looking at the wrong layout. The guy who built this baby had a layout called PrintProgressNote and a layout called PrintProgressNotes Brilliant.

Okay, I changed the layout size to 12 pages in FM6. Now it is printing a blank page for the 1st page, continues on the 2nd page as if there was data on the 1st page, then chops off the last page after about 2 lines.

This is now in FM6. Decided to see if that made a difference.

So where can I get the upgrade to 3.0v6? I checked and I have 3.0v3. Did a Google search and can't find anywhere that has that old old upgrade.

Of course I'm still wondering why it doesn't work in 6.0 either.

This is very frustrating. Okay, now I get NOTHING. I play with the header, footer, body etc etc etc and it will work. Then the boss goes and prints and NOTHING. I go back. NOTHING. 10 blank pages. So I mess around again and get it working. Round and round.

Is there a precise tutorial on EXACTLY how to do printing? This is one of the most complicated setups for printing I've ever seen. Should just be able to throw it all on one page with headers and footers. Nooooooo gotta set a print area equal to the maximum number of pages and so even when it does work I get 10 pages with only 2 or 3 used in most cases.

How do I get it to ONLY print pages with data on them?
