In a runtime, is there anyway to remove from view, the bottom menubar - the one with the mode and zoom controls?

No. Best you can do is run a script to lock them.

You could run in 'Kiosk Mode' but this has other problems.

I was pretty sure that there was nothing I could do - apart from lock them out in my startup script.

Don't really want to go down the route of kiosk mode - I'm trying to make my runtime as un-filemaker as possible. Hopefully so that only filemaker users/developers will recognise it. To be honest, none of my target clients, custom motorcycle builders, will know so that's fine.
