Is it possible to run a script everytime a new record is made?

A script that runs on command-N.

I suppose that this could be done by running an endless loop script which would trigger your sub-script based on a validation field in the new record.

Wouldn't it be easier to limit new record creation by password and script "new record" along with your other script steps into a single button?
