I don't know if I have asked this earlier,but I need to have some word doc with my standard filemaker output.The word doc is a legal doc which changes time to time.It has to be printed below some out put from file maker fields.I tried Container with Object Linking but the results are disasterous as the formating gets lost.Please help me know a solution to this as its urgent.Is there any other way like puting the filemaker fields

into word and printing from there?

I suggest that instead of trying to bring the formatted word doc in that you export your FileMaker data in Merge File format, then set up your Word document as a merge file. Alternately, you could copy and paste the Word document into the layout of FileMaker and use merge fields where appropriate. Personally I like the latter approach as I can keep everything in one program and script it, but it really depends on what your specific requirements are.
