Duplicate Record With Blank Field

How can I duplicate a record and have one of the fields, previously with a value, return blank?

I have a field "UnitHinge" that is a Text field->By Value List.

The value list, "Hinging," contains "

[Oldfogey]

I think if you set the field to Auto-enter "" it will work.

A really great way to duplicate records is export/import but you need to do this with a script or else it's painful.
