Keith LaMarre Posted May 21, 2004 Share Posted May 21, 2004 I am currently running FM Pro Server 5.5 on a G4 and am in the process of recommending an upgrade to this machine in anticipation of FM Pro Server 7. I am thinking that I can get a refurbished G5 from Apple. Does anyone have any experience using a G5 with FM Pro Server 5.5 - I am not looking for speed trials here - I just want to make certain that it doesn't crash horribly before I go out on a limb. The environment that i have is a Gigabit ethernet Server room - fm server hosting 75 files - 2 Remote Terminal Servers with 10 users each (3-5 simultaneously) and internal 100base t net with 10 more machines so its gotta work! Just make sure you leave the FileMaker Server folder on the root directory of the hard drive while you apply the update. OS 10.3.3, 130 concurrent users, 40 files.
