Newbies otis123 Posted May 30, 2004 Newbies Posted May 30, 2004 I hope some one can help,My first post..great forum,helps me alot! ,any way..I run a small shop 11 macs , osx.3.4 and i admin our network and database.i just converted 10 databases to server seven ,from 5.5 and only three files will "open" i have checked all admin permissions and have full access on my user.to all accounts,.but i get a message in "permissions that says.the action cannot be performed because this file is not modifiable...Did I do something wrong when converting? I eliminated all passwords in 5.5 pre conversion only keeping my master password..Yes i have 5.5 still running(separate machine )while i work on this problem.....any tips would be appreciated

Check the permissions on the individual FM files - I have found that often, when moving files between machines (or converting) in 10.3, the files' permissions get screwed up, or get set to a user account which doesn't exist (or guest, or whatever.) -Stanley
