Hi,

i currently have FMS5.5 hosting 50 files with 'Max hosting files' setting at 50. I wanted to host more files so i changed the 'Max hosting files' to 75 but some how the server still wont let me host more than 50 files.

I didnot turnoff or restart the server after changing the setting. So my question is that do i have to restart the server in order for the new setting to take effect?

is there is a way to change the setting without restart the servser ?

Welcome to the Forums. I believe you have to restart the server after changing the max number of files setting, for the change to take effect. Anyway, it's a good idea to reboot the server every now and then; she'll run a bit cleaner after reboot, especially if she's been left up for a long period.
