In one of my layouts, I include a text field that contains widely varying amounts of text. Sometimes a line or 2. Sometimes more than 2 pages.

Two questions:

1. How can I print a report so that the text field is never truncated?

2. Is there a printing script that might help with this question?

Read up about FMP's Sliding/Printing feature.

The trick is to make the field on the report layout *bigger* than you ever expect it to be, then use Sliding/Printing to *shrink* the field to fit the actual amount of text in the field.

Sliding/Printing only works in Preview mode and when printed. it doesn't shrink in Browse mode.
