Hi!

I have a question about serial numbers.

I would like to type in manually also, and if I do so, I would like the next serial number to be the number I typed in plus 1. Is this possible (without changing manually in the "Define Database" menu choice)?

If you use the serial numbers as primary key for your table, I wouldn't do that

FileMaker provides a method of auto-entering serial numbers which is better than what you can provide on your own. I do not let users modifiy the serial number. Many times they don't even know that there is a serial number.
