Turns out that it may be impossible (or very expensive) to convert my cousin's QB windows data to QB Mac file. However, his IIF file imported into FM fairly neatly. So now the choice is: start from scratch in QB, or use the imported data in FM. Seems that neither choice is great.

Can you export from Win QB to an intermediate file type and then import into Mac QB? I don't know QB but I thought it had import and export functinality.
