I have a made a text field with a scroll bar in layout mode. When I click on browse and try to type in the text box the text starts in the center of the box instead of the top left. I have checked text formatting. I can get it to start in the top left if I make the scrolling box smaller. But I want it a certain size. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

What did you check about text formatting? You're aware that there's vertical centering as well as horizontal?

(What you describe is exactly what would happen if under Format=>Align Text you still had vertical centering...)

If you continue to type a long paragraph worth, how does it end up looking? Does it adjust upward to straddle the center, or does it flow only downwards from the starting point?

This is why I post here. I am still learning. Thank you. You were absolutely correct. I did have it on vertical centering. I was using the mouse button menu and never saw that. I will have to check the file bar when I am in trouble again.
