What causes a Layout to go blank?

Featured Replies

I've created a new layout for a report, and at first it displayed info in any of the four Views (Layout, Browse, Find, or Preview). Now, when I go to look at it, each layout is completely blank -- except for Preview, which displays the report. I want to make some changes to Find criteria, and also to the layout itself, but I can't, because there's nothing appearing on the screen! How can this happen? How to prevent this from happening??_____ frown.gif

Reports show only in Preview mode correctly, so it could be blank in Find and Browse, but in Layout mode? This is strange

If it's a summary report, it 'goes blank" sometimes if the records are not sorted correctly. They have to sorted to match the break fields in the sub-summary parts on the layout.

Each time you perform a find the records become unsorted.

I have the same problem in layout mode. I just switch to browse and then back to layout and all is well. Sorta strange.

I wish it was that simple. It's blank in Browse, and Find modes. Layout displays OK, also Preview (sometimes).

Have tried many things; usually end up starting a new Layout all over again.

Waste of time!
