I am trying to set up the DataDirect ODBC file on my XP Pro box with Developer 7. I would like to link the FMP file within an MS access data base. Both files are resident on the same PC. The data direct set up keeps asking for host names, port addresses, and file names. I could understand this if the data was on a separate server, but I can not figure out how to set up the driver within a PC. Any one solve this issue yet?

Does localhost (127.0.0.1) work? You would still need to know the port number though.

I tried both localhost and 127.0.0.1 with a port of 19996 (which was the stated default port) and neither worked.

Does it work if you try it from a different computer using the actual IP address.
