Is there anyway to change graphical elements?

Is there any way to script changing a button . Or fill a background with a solid color through a script. Just wondering if that is possible in any way.

I've seen tricks where you use a related container field to create a dynamic button. If you have a table of graphic objects, that are associated to unique id values, you could place the field on your main layout, then script changing a global id value that relates your layout to the graphics. The picture would change when the id changed. Just define the field as a button and away you go.

I think you could also do this with a repeating container field.
