Exported data not equal to reported data.

Featured Replies

With help from kind people in this discussion site, I've managed to create a report that shows Running Totals within control groups (see P.S. below). My columnar report shows what I want, the way I want it.

NOW, I want TO EXPORT the data, exactly as shown on the report. Everything exports fine EXCEPT the Running Total figures. The exported running total values are INCORRECT if there's more than one "row" in a control group. (Export seems to pick the first value in a running total set, rather than the resulting total as shown on the report).

Advice anyone?______

P.S. In case you don't follow my Running Totals within control group idea, read on. In FM there is a feature for calculating running totals. It's a type of summary field. However, if you create a report, that has control breaks (sorted fields with subtotals....) the running total carries on through to the end of the report. It doesn't start over again at the beginning of each control group. (see also Layouts discussions).

I was shown a script to achieve the calculation of running totals within control groups (it involves a global total field and a script loop that checks for change in control break value). It works fine, as far as the report is concerned. BUT we haven't been able to Export the same figures. Any help very appreciated. Thanks! ooo.gif
