Unless I make the checkboxes 2 points or greater, they are invisible at normal zoom levels. However, you can see the boxes when you zoom in. If I make the boxes 2 points, the lines are too heavy and almost obscure the "X". The radio buttons display normally at any zoom level.

A bad monitor, graphics card, or set up is about the only explanation I can think of here. What resolution are you using? 800x600? Smaller? Bigger?

I'm running 1024 x 768 both at home and at work. I have a flat screen monitor at work and have no problem detecting the smaller 1-point lines. At home is where I am unable to detect the smaller lines. I'm using a middle of the road ATI video card. I'll try swapping it out and see what happens.

What version FMP and patch level? What is the line colour for the checkboxes in question?

I'm using FM 5.5v1. No patches. The boxes are black, and I have experimented with almost all possible combinations of color, fill, etc. The outer circles on the radio buttons display properly at 1-point. I haven't had any other flaky problems that might point to a bad video card, but I plan to swap the card out this weekend just to eliminate it as a source of the problem.

Good Bill, let us know what the result is, it sounds like it'll be "one for the books."

I swapped the video card and that solved the problem. I am now able to see the checkboxes and all the lines 1-point ans less. Very interesting! I definitely have to look into this further.
