New User wants to limit records by user

I am working on our school's database for a Master's course and want to restrict which records each user can see to just their own students. Suggestions on the best way to do this appreciated.

Details: There are 8 users of the database.

There are 95 records in the DB, each person needs to see about 10.

Some records need to be seen by more than one person.

I would like to not have to change anything if a new student is added to the database.

I don't have a clue what I'm doing but I was thinking maybe a new field with numbers for each user and if that number is present in the field then they can see that record? I have no idea how to do that though.

Please help me. I want an A smile.gif
