newbie find script question

Featured Replies

It seems i dont know how to make a simple perform find script. This is what I made and it doesn't work.

Enter Find Mode []

Set Field ["Job Order #", "Job Form::globalJobOrder"]

Perform Find [Restore, Replace Found Set]

Can somebody tell me what I did wrong or what I missed?

Thanx,

Chard

If what you've typed above is accurate, you've left [Restore] on. Which means it's just going to ignore your Set Field.

Ok now, I turned the [Restore] off, and just leaving the [Replace Found Set] on. But it still returns an error saying "There are no Valid Criteria in this request..." How do you set the criteria so that it can accept my SET FIELD script step?

Thanx,

Chard

Oh I think I got it already. Only global fields can transfer values into the target field in Find Mode. Now my perform find works!
