I have a multi-user solution shared over max 15 users - 10 all day using fms 5.5

With about 20-25 files - the total size of all files together is 60MB.

I am considering adding a very useful feature to the main company database, but this will push the total database size up to about 250MB. It's a large calculation field that needs to be indexed to be part of a relationship.

Is this still ok for our uses? Or will there be a significant impact on performance?

Our database performance at the moment is fast.

What kind of maximum total db sizes is a threshold for a degradation in performance over filemaker server?

Are there any accurate formula that anyone's come up with to calculate performance degradation, taking in file total sizes and user counts?

I really hope I can add this feature as it will be extremely useful.
