Text Edit flexibility in value lists

I'm not sure if I should post here on on the wish list. I don't see a way to customize text presentation in value lists, such as having some values italics, subscript or superscript, or mixing fonts. Is there a way to do it that I'm not seeing? Does anyone else have this need?
