I have a layout displaying a set of data (goals and objectives). In any given record, I may need different numbers of the same layout, e.g. one record may have 3 goals, another may have 12. Is there a way to add additional layouts on the fly?

You can add a layout in Layout Mode by selecting New Layout under the Layout menu. But if the number of goals & objectives is variable, then there is a better, more dynamic way: Use one layout with a portal. This would require an additional file or table for the goal/objective lines.

I agree with Ender...take advanage of Filemakers relationship capabilities!!!
