I'm having a problem upgrading from 6 to 7. How does one add an account name to a password that exists in 6 and add it to 7.

Mania -

Note that FileMaker 6 had no concept of Account Name. So if you convert a file from a previous version of FileMaker Pro AND it was password protected you can either a) type in your password in the Account Name field or : just leave the account name field blank. Both examples work exactly the same way.

It is highly recommended that once you convert your files to 7 that you go back and edit your Accounts and Passwords so that they are both unique. Just log in with a password that allows you to edit access privileges and double click on each one to edit the account and/or password and anything else.
