Using e-mail script step - what criteria do I need?

Hi peeps,

Question for you all,

I have this button "send e-mail" next to my e-mail field, that onClick, executes a script that sends an e-mail using the e-mail script step. But I take it just having a "to" field pointing to the e-mail field is not enough. How do I have a window poping up asking someone to enter a topic and message contents for the e-mail? (I take that an e-mail client will be used for this part).

Can anyone tell me what is the "traditional" way of doing this since I find that filemaker does things the "unorthodox" way.
