How can I make it possible to enter time in a field as such; 1.15 for an hour fifteen minutes without getting the box that says I have to enter time as 01:00:00?

Maybe this helps....

goto regional settings in >start>settings

Set time limiter to . (point)

format the timefield in filemaker to displayed as hh:mm:ss.

If you now enter 1.5 it will be displayed in filemaker as 01:05:00

I am not aware of the time-format on Mac, you probably now ....
